This book will help plan and install SAP R/3 4.58 in a Microsoft cluster Server environment.
For thousands of companies, one application is more business critical than any other: SAP R/3. High availability is absolutely crucial to business success. Now, a team of IBM's top support professionals shows exactly how to maximize the availability and performance of SAP R/3 systems running on Microsoft Cluster Server on IBM's powerful Netfinity servers. This book delivers comprehensive coverage of SAP R/3/Microsoft Cluster Server planning, implementation, and maintenance. It contains an invaluable step-by-step walkthrough of installation and configuration on Netfinity servers, with coverage of integrating three leading databases: Oracle, DB2, and SQL Server 7. Readers will find detailed hardware coverage, including server sizing, disk layout, network configuration, and more. The book includes detailed, never-before-published techniques for verifying an installation -- and tips for troubleshooting and resolving any problems. For anyone involved in planning or installing SAP R/3 and Microsoft Cluster Server on IBM Netfinity servers -- especially SAP consultants new to MCS, or MCS experts new to SAP R/3.
