Rodrigues is Professor (Professor Catedrático) at the Departamento de Engenharia Informática, Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), at the Universidade Técnica de Lisboa in Portugal. Christian Cachin works at IBM Research in Zurich, Switzerland.
