Face Recognition

This is the first book on automatic face recognition. Face recognition is a complex and difficult problem that is important for surveillance and security, telecommunications, digital libraries, and human-computer intelligent interactions. The book is based on a NATO Advanced Study Institute held in 1997 at which leading researchers provided a broad overview on face recognition and identified trends for future developments and the means for implementing robust systems. The methods presented are synergetic efforts from the fields signal and image processing, pattern recognition, machine learning, neural networks, psychophysics, and system engineering.
