This is the inspiring story of a women's basketball coach who against all odds won the NCAA Women's Championship in her first year. Kim Mulkey is the only person - man or woman - to win the NCAA championship as a player (twice), assistant coach and head coach. It covers her early childhood growing up in Louisiana where she encountered racism for the first time in her newly integrated school, to her playing career at Louisiana Tech to her falling out with the Louisiana Tech administration over the head coaching job to her being hired to resuscitate a losing team, and then going on to win the 2005 NCCA Women's Basketball Championship.
