Thirty years after the gods reduced Tokyo to rubble, survivors set out to answer a seemingly impossible question—how do you kill a god?

Japan has been invaded by gods—and they’ve left nothing but death and destruction in their wake. With entire cities now classified as uninhabitable danger zones, Anti-God researcher Sachiyuki Tokinaga is determined to find a way to take down the gods and save humanity. When chance leads him to high schooler Waka Kamikura, the two may just end up changing the fate of the world forever.

After Waka’s frightening display of power, Tokinaga has no choice but to sedate her and bring her back to the Anti-God Research Institute for questioning. Waka claims she’s sworn to kill the gods, but with eyes like hers, how can she possibly be trusted? As it turns out, Waka’s not the only one with secrets. The institute has been developing their own weapons against the gods, and unless Waka can hold her own against them, she may not survive long enough to prove she’s telling the truth.

Sumi Eno started her career as a professional manga artist in 2014 with her series Bishonen-ness. Just a year later, she released her next series, Tabishi Kawaran!! (Insignificant Kawaraya!!), which she had been working on privately since 2011 before turning it into a commercial manga in 2015. Eno then went on to create Ajuutan (Tale of the Demi-Beast), which was among the top twenty series nominated for the Next Manga Award’s Best Web Manga of 2017. And in 2023, Eno received her second Next Manga Award nomination for the work on her series After God.
