This is the second volume of the series "Poetry for my beloved Daughter" by Isis.Amazingly, there is still poetry in a world full of war and chaos. Many poems are written to cope with one's grief or to give declarations of love a special setting. It's a little different for Isis. Her poetry draws above all on inspiration, contentment, happiness and spiritual realisations. In moments of silence and seclusion, thoughts flow like flowers in a wide river and are gently carried to the shore, where they are woven into wreaths by innocent children's hands. And then there are the paintings. Isis is particularly fascinated by paintings by old masters. As there are so many of them, it is particularly difficult to choose the ones that best suit her poems. One of her best friends (and poetess) from Scotland wrote to Isis about her poetry: "The poetical touch that you bring is very individual and inspiring as it seems to tap into a wider field of almost musical resonance and your writing often takes me to a place of Beauty." Isis wants her poems to transport people into magical inner worlds that harbour love and hope. She wants her lines to convey that there is light everywhere in this world that leads out of the darkness. But each person can only decide for themselves whether they also want to see the light or only the darkness. Isis loves both: the radiant energy and warmth of the light just as much as the calming and eternally mystical darkness.

Isis grew up as the third of 4 children with loving parents who were devoted teachers. You could say that a love of prose and poetry runs in the family. Her father loved to memorise poems and often recited them, while her mother made up stories and loved to read fantasy novels. Shortly after she learnt to read, Isis developed into a real bookworm. As her love of poetry had probably rubbed off from her father, she wrote her first poem at the age of 8, which won a prize in a school competition. It was inspired by the marvellous painting "The Singing Boys" by Frans Hals. Just like her mother, Isis also invented imaginative stories as a child. She also loved writing long letters to her friends. Since graduating with a degree in industrial engineering in 1986, Isis has worked as an IT application consultant. It was only at the age of 53 that she started writing poems and stories again, inspired by encounters with other poets. Isis is also the author of the books "Prism of Solitude", "Magic of Introversion", "Poetry for my beloved Daughter-Volume 1" and the "Twin Flame Poetry" series.
