Fred Munroe is a newly minted college graduate from Missouri. While looking to build his future, Fred follows his college sweetheart to Boston, where she lives with her wealthy parents; parents that demand their daughter marry a boy of their choosing. And this boy is not Fred Munroe. A handsome and charming overachiever, Fred figures he can win over the minds and affections of his girlfriend's parents. What he does not figure on is the ruthless and conniving nature of his girlfriend's mother and father. These parents are not Ward and June Cleaver. And there is nothing they will not do, to rid themselves of the irritant that is the boy from Missouri. Nothing.

Robert Hilfinger lives in Beverly, Massachusetts. His fourth book titled 'EVA' is about a young astronomer and a mysterious woman. Adam Thornberry is a brilliant stargazer who works from his home in Gloucester on Boston's North Shore. Adam stumbles upon a world-altering revelation while studying the vast universe from his dream house, perched on a bluff, overlooking Good Harbor Beach. As he wrestles with the gravity of his outer space discovery, Eva becomes a welcome distraction, appearing frequently on the sands below Adam's home. Over time, Eva turns from being a distraction to an obsession, as Adam begins to believe that she plays an unknown role in his astronomical mystery. His emotions toward her become a mixture of affection and fear. Is she a friend? Is she an enemy? A spy? Or is she simply a figment of his overworked imagination?
'FRED' is a different type of love story. A recent college graduate, Fred Munroe follows his entitled girlfriend to Boston where he unknowingly enters the evil world of her wealthy mother and father. A stranger to the affluent trappings around him, Fred attempts to understand a series of very strange happenings. One thing after another begin to crumble in his well-intended life, and Fred discovers that his girlfriend's folks want him gone - not just from their home but gone for good. Fred's love story is woven into a web of crime, born of a family's limitless greed and wickedness. The young college graduate came to Boston to save his relationship, but now he must stay in Boston to save his life.
