During their twenty-five years of marriage, Charley and Janet traveled all over the world - accompanying student rocket engineers to competitions, viewing solar eclipses, taking hot air balloon rides and cruises and always enjoying each others company in Asia, Europe, South America, Canada and the U.S. After Charley officially retired from his aerospace endeavors, he became involved in CSULA and CSULB as a judge in competitions and then as an adjunct professor at CSULB. He taught the rocket engineering students how to design, build and test rockets for competitions like IREC - International Rocket Engineering Competition. Janet became the grandmother of all the students making sure they had water, snacks and sunscreen! In later years, our telescopes were donated to schools and given to students.
