Ash Alexander-Cooper OBE is a former specialist military unit commander, world-championship athlete, and international musician. During a three-decade career, Ash served as a helicopter pilot, airborne, jungle warfare and counter-terrorism specialist, spending seven years deployed in some of the world’s most challenging environments. Wounded multiple times, Ash proudly supports several veterans’ charities. Since retirement, Ash has focussed on leadership and resilience and is now a sought-after international keynote speaker and strategic advisor. Mindful Soldier is his first book. He lives in Hampshire. Dr Jessica K. Miller is an author, a Principal Investigator at the University of Cambridge and a consultant specialising in trauma resilience in Emergency Response. She works with The Royal Foundation of the Prince and Princess of Wales and national policing and emergency response organisations across the UK and abroad. Her neuropsychology work has been represented at Westminster, in government policy making and enquiries, approved professional practice and international media. Her work is borne out of her own experiences of complex trauma, and is rooted in insight, science and compassion. She lives in Dorset.
