Born in England and raised in a three-hundred-year-old house, Jeanette grew up with stories of pixies, ghosts and fairies. These childhood experiences inspire her to write fun, imaginative and quirky stories. Jeanette now lives in a small country town in Western Australia with her husband and two boys. Jeanette is a member of the Society of Children’s Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) and the Children’s Book Council of Australia (CBCA). She has extensive experience of visiting schools and libraries to share her love of books and reading. Novia Heroanto is a Sydney-based illustrator and early childhood teacher. She predominantly works by penciling her initial ideas on paper and finalizing the complete illustrations on both computer and iPad. Her inspiration flows from the candid interactions, conversations, and ideas of the young children that she teaches, as well as her toddler at home. She envisions herself as a bridge between early years education and the creative art sector to nurture empathy and creativity through drawings, and stories.
