Hardcore Mother

While answering the call of an injured girl, Oakland police officials uncover an eerily dark and disturbing family. Although their intervention halts the immediate danger, it does little to effect long-standing change. Destructive patterns of interpersonal interaction are viewed from the perspective of each family member as the girl and her brother endure the hardship of living with an overbearing and sadistic psychotic mother. The psychosexual stressors culminate in the son's intense, gut-wrenching confrontation with his ill mother.
