A brilliant, thoughtful anthology of poems full of hope, selected and illustrated by Chris Riddell.
Ignite your inner activist, receive comfort against adversity and be inspired by Poems to Save the World With, a selection of classic and modern poetry selected and beautifully illustrated by Chris Riddell.

Poetry can galvanize, uplift and inspire us to affect change in our lives – and in the world. In this gorgeous anthology, Chris Riddell brings his trademark intricate, exquisite artwork to his own selection of poetry, speaking to hope, happiness, lockdown, hardship and rebellion.

With poetry old and new – and a few surprises – classic verses sit alongside the modern to create a profound, compelling collection. Poets featured include Neil Gaiman, Nikita Gill, Maggie Smith, Brian Bilston, Raymond Antrobus, Fiona Benson, Lewis Carroll and many more . . .

Chris Riddell, the 2015–2017 UK Children's Laureate, is an accomplished artist and the political cartoonist for the Observer. He has enjoyed great acclaim for his books for children. His books have won a number of major prizes, including the 2001, 2004 and 2016 CILIP Kate Greenaway Medals. Goth Girl and the Ghost of a Mouse won the Costa Children's Book Award 2013. His work for Macmillan also includes the bestselling Ottoline books, The Emperor of Absurdia, and, with Paul Stewart, the Muddle Earth books, the Scavenger series and the Blobheads series. Chris has been honoured with an OBE in recognition of his illustration and charity work. He lives in Brighton with his family.
