Set in the exciting world of motorsport and Le Mans during the 1980s, this fast-paced novel revolves around the life of an aspiring young racing driver, and his dream to drive at Le Mans in the car that his motor club have designed, a brilliant concept but with no money to produce it.
Follow Steve Cunningham's adventures and misadventures as he enters the Machiavellian world of motorsport funding and politics in an effort to get the Scorpion project to its objective. Lives are at risk, and not just the racing drivers, as dangerous con-tricks play out.

On occasion, Harper J has been distracted away from his key subjects, having first set up a skiffle group in the mid 50's and later a rock and blues band, in which he was the lead singer, guitarist, and blues harp player. But that is another story ...
