Natural Hazard

The European golf tour is a travelling circus and journalist/broadcaster Norman Dabell has been an integral part of it for many years. This is an account of life on the golf circuit, taken from Dabell's diaries of three decades. Fate caused him many a tumble. Twice Major-winner Vijay Singh might neve have got his career on the road if his ball had plummeted out of bounds, as it seemed certain to do, instead of ricocheting onto the fairway off Dabell's head in Spain in 1990. This is just one of many escapades which happened to a living, breathing, natural hazard.
