Finally having recovered from the devastating civil war in Yugoslavia, the young and rather naive Lucija Martinic is having the time of her life when long-forgotten memories about her past again start surfacing. They are terrible memories of a time living in miserable conditions, of violence, torture and of death around her and her family. Young teenage girls are starting to perish worldwide and experts do not know why. Panic has set in. A middle age billionaire realizes that the reason for their deaths may have something to do with a company in his portfolio and a person he knows well. He begins searching for answers to the question of what interest this friend might have in the deaths of so many teenage girls. In his search, he meets the young Lucija who possesses part of the answer to his question. However, Lucija does not realize that what she is getting into is a dangerous game of economical and political conspiracy.
