Pain and Posterity

A fictional account of life after atomic war and how the human race might respond. The story begins in 2018, deep in the Welsh Valleys. Darkness has fallen for four months leaving survivors grappling to survive and to keep their animals alive. Shelters are formed over the country and a hierarchical plan is put in place to manage the people with mating and leadership installations becoming the new normal. Battles are fierce between Shelters, and lessons are taken daily in archery and fight tactics. Only the strongest of opponents will survive. Daylight returns, love blossoms and babies are born. They grow into children with huge intellect, but will they survive the Armageddon on the first New Moon in 2024? Who will reach New Camelot? 'Time does not pass; we do. Time goes on'.
