As a young man, Paddy Doyle was as tough as they came. By his early teens he was a British judo champion, pushing himself to the peak of fitness and endurance. His fiercely competitive nature and rebellious temperament landed him in trouble with the law. A hard drinker and a troublemaker, he ended up being banned from numerous haunts in Birmingham. Yet his passion for sports and fitness saved him. After a spell in prison he turned his life around and went from backstreet brawls to breaking records. A chance purchase of "The Guinness Book of Records" spurred him to action - he knew that he could beat, hands down, many of the records listed. Paddy's alter ego, "Iron Man", was born and he was on a mission to leave no feat unaccomplished. This is the tale of a man whose mental and physical determination to succeed have led him to glory.
