You're the kind of person who never backs down from a fight. You were the kind of kid who tried to eat wasps. Working hard is in your blood. Who you are is in your bones. You can map yourself back and find evidence of everything. Human Resources is about the bits of you that you have been given and the bits of you that you have chosen. It's a conversation about genetic structure and memory; family lore and biology. It's about the moment you say "I am the kind of person who...and I come from a long line of..." Human Resources is a new show from poet Hannah Jane Walker and theatre-maker Chris Thorpe, which asks whether there is a right or wrong way of thinking about who we are - or at least, who we think we are. Chris and Hannah's award-winning shows feel like a generous, open conversation, with poetry and storytelling at it's heart and space for audiences to contribute. Previous collaborations include Fringe First-winning The Oh F**k Moment (2011) and I Wish I Was Lonely (2013).

Chris Thorpe was a founder member of Unlimited Theatre and still works and tours with the company. He is also an Artistic Associate of live art/theatre company Third Angel as well as working closely with, among others, Forest Fringe, Slung Low, Chris Goode, RashDash, Belarus Free Theatre and Portuguese company mala voadora for whom he has just completed a trilogy of new plays. He has an ongoing collaboration with poet Hannah Jane Walker, which has produced the shows "The Oh Fuck Moment" and "I Wish I Was Lonely." Hannah Jane Walker is a poet from Cambridge and Essex. She has toured intensively both nationally and internationally doing shows, readings and running workshops. She is passionate about engaging people with poetry and using poetry to have conversations. She believes that poetry is just another way of talking, that poetry is for everyone and that it is something that we need as we go forward.
