Zalla had long ago made the decision to set out on a personal mission to improve the farms and the lives of rural farmers wherever she found them in the universe. She traveled from planet to planet and from star system to star system looking for newly settled or economically poor planets. Zalla would assist the planet’s most disadvantaged farmers with the sum total of her vast knowledge of farming, fisheries, and ranching.
Zalla and Edan were the second set of twins’ fathered by Jarzen. They had been intended as a parting gift to Antara; Jarzen’s second wife, from his second life; on the planet of Adamar. Jarzen was going to start an intergalactic war with the Exopellnarians. He had to stop the Exos from trying to transport Elapsis to the Pellnar galaxy. Jarzen would go to any lengths, even to sacrificing his own life, to protect Elapsis, and his family: his parents, his brothers and sisters; especially Shara and their children. The outcome of the war Jarzen was starting was anything but certain. In his first battle against the Exos he had not done well. At least not at first, but that battle was against only one of the giant planet killer ships, plus its escort fleet of twelve capital ships. This time Jarzen would be facing six of the planet killers and over twenty-three thousand capital ships. And each of these capital ships was larger and far more powerful than a Tar-Que Battle Command Carrier.
Through a series of amazing, unplanned outcomes, combined with unswerving determination, total and complete companion loyalty; combined with Triple E ability; Jarzen’s forces did win the battle. This unexpected victory made it possible for Jarzen to bring Antara and their twins back to Elapsis with him.
Zalla and her brother Edan were very close, but it went far beyond the bond of brother and sister; they were connected on a cosmic level. They could read each other’s thoughts; feel each other’s pain, emotional and physical. They finished each other’s sentences and they were both potent Triple Es. That was where the similarity ended. Except for her connection to Edan, Zalla was a solitary person. She never mixed in with others, not even members of her family. She would exchange a friendly greeting and a fleeting smile; then she would go off on her own and reflectively meditate.
All eight of Jarzen’s children were Triple Es; his sub-conscious minds doing. However, almost from its initial manifestation; Zalla no longer used her Triple E ability. The Triple E’s ability reveals itself within days of their achievement of puberty. In learning to use her Triple E ability, Zalla had three dangerously unpleasant incidents in the span of six solar weeks. The third of which was so catastrophic, that Jarzen had to be called in to set things right; and from that day forward; Zalla turned her back on her Triple E ability.
Jarzen’s mind raced back and forth, from unanswered questions, to final plans for getting the search underway, then back to unanswered questions. Raden had vanished. Zalla had vanished - and Edan couldn’t even sense her – that had never happened. What was happening in the Ardmem-Dos System? And who or what was abducting his children?
Jarzen contacted Shara via the amnet and asked her to contact their remaining children. He wanted to know where in the universe they were; and he wanted all of them to immediately return home to their seldom used personal master suites in Semtrek Mountain. At least until he and Shara could get to the bottom of this unfolding mystery.
Shara responded, telling Jarzen she had already done so. She went on to inform Jarzen of the results of that effort: Shajara and Alara had just returned to Oger from abrief vacation on Ell; the pleasure moon that orbited Oger. They had agreed to return to Elapsis on the Crystal Diamond and would achieve orbit above Semtrek Mountain within the solar hour. Jamos said he was safe on Kleet; working on a project with the AM-U Patrax Master Gadric; because Gadric would protect him; he refused to leave Kleet. Rizal, was at home on his automated agro-farm on Achary, and did not feel he needed to come to Elapsis. He was insisting he was quite safe where he was. Anova was on her industrial ranch on Acob, she had offered to immediately come home to join the search for her missing siblings. When told that would not be necessary; and that she needed to remain safe in her master suite within Semtrek Mountain; she refused stating, she was quite safe on her ranch. Tavid was in Insula, and as a member of the Federation High Council, which was in session, he could not leave the Capitol. And Baya could not be reached, even on the amnet, however; five solar days ago she was on Tar-Que, where she had contracted a fast space cruiser for a one way trip, to an unknown destination in the Ardmen-Dos System.
Jarzen put in a call to Q and Q-Tan instantly answered. Jarzen asked to speak with Q and was told Q could not be disturbed; he had merged with the deep scanning sensor array and was conducting a more methodical second search of the Ardmen-Dos System. Q-Tan asked if he could assist Jarzen. Jarzen asked to have a company of Eletorian Guards sent to Rizal on Achary. Another sent to Anova on Acob and still another sent to Tavid in Insula with a fourth Company sent to Jamos on Kleet. Jarzen required the off planet deployments of Eletorian Guards to be completed today. He ordered them transported on Crystal Fleet Ships. He further required that he was to be informed when the Guards were in place and protecting his children. Q-Tan replied that the Eletorian Guardsmen would be deployed within the solar hour. Jarzen would be notified as each child and their respective locations were secured.

A quarter solar hour after his call to Q-Tan, Jarzen gave the order for Varian to launch the Valarian; destination the planet Adamar, fifteen hundred seventy-one point four six years into the past. Jarzen felt the HelixGeniTron Interstellar Drive activate; then he experienced the expected effect, of life blinking. Solar seconds later, life blinked again as they made the second jump. The first jump took them to the Pellnar Galaxy on the far side of the known universe. The second jump took them back in time. When they came out of Geni standing side-by-side were Shara, Jarzen, Shrah, Ticious, and Oreious. Before them through the forward optical port, the planet Adamar filled their view. Varian was seated behind them on the bridge in the captain’s chair; he rose in a fluid motion and came forward to stand next to Shara. Jarzen glanced back at the wall chronometer and fourteen solar seconds had elapsed since lift-off from Elapsis.
V-two, the Valarian’s hard wired central A-I processor, and co-captain with Varian of the Valarian, announced over the ship wide communication system that they were being hailed from the planet. We have been recognized as the Valarian, and we are most welcome to Adamar.
Jarzen, activated the communication system, and said; “This is Jarzen Tadel, may I speak with,” and then he hesitated. He knew that Movious intended to transition out of his position as planetary administrator; as soon as he could educate the Adamarians, and stand up a legitimate government with the ability to thrive, prosper, and grow. Jarzen continued, “May I please speak with Movious?”
“This is Prime Minister Eirapor Wendever. I welcome you to Adamar, and I look forward to meeting you, Triple E Tadel. I am the grandson, seven generations forward, of Planetary Administrator Emeritus, Movious. Movious, still resides in his penthouse on the seventh floor of the administration building; I will be happy to forward your call.”

“Jarzen Tadel, what an incredible surprise and pleasure.” The voice was Movious’ but he sounded so different, that Jarzen and Shara both with shocked, questioning looks on their faces, turned to gaze into each other’s eyes. Before either of them could speak, Movious went on, “I’m told you are in orbit? Please Trans down immediately; I am still in my seventh floor penthouse.”
Jarzen, thought the thought, and instantly Transed, Shara, Shrah, Varian, Ticious, Oreious, and himself into Movious’ penthouse.
There across the room from them, sat Movious, in an odd looking conveyance, a contraption resembling a Tar-Que Wheeled Chair; only semi-reclined instead of the usual upright seated position. Shara overcame her shock first; she crossed the room, leaned over and gave Movious a long heartfelt hug. Stepping back, she smiled again, and said, “Movious, it is so very good to see you.” Shara sobbed, and said again, “It’s so good to see you.” Shara sob-shuddered, “What have you been up to?”
Jarzen had followed Shara across the room, he stepped around Shara, leaned over and gave Movious a powerful emotion filled hug. With tears streaming down his face, he said, “Movious, my dear friend, how did you end up in a wheeled chair?”
Movious, looked up at his friends, and said, “That is a very long story. But it is sure great to see all of you.” Movious invited everyone to sit and the servitor began offering refreshments. Movious asked,...
