Mark Ryan's brilliant reinvention of Robert Louis Stephenson's Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. Carl Jung introduces the audience to an inmate of Broadmoor Asylum, known only as Mr Hyde. Through a series of interviews, Jung attempts to understand the man through his analysis of the divided self. However, as the regular meetings progress, the true horror of the story unfolds as Hyde begins to gain the upper hand.

Mark Ryan was born in London in 1959. After leaving school at 16 he toured in various bands including Adam and the Ants. In the late 1980's he attended Dartington College of Arts and gained a degree in music, collaborating with the theatre department on a wide range of productions. He moved to Wales in 1991 settling in Cardiff where he worked in professional theatre as a playwright, musician and designer. The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde as told to Carl Jung by an inmate of Broadmoor Asylum was first performed at the Edinburgh Festival in 1997 and was The Scotsman's Five Star Pick of The Day. He died in 2011.
