The manuscript of this previously unpublished play was discovered amongst the personal and literary papers of Gore-Booth. This is an exceptional find. It is rare indeed that an unpublished work, by a celebrated Irish author, is uncovered so many years after their death. This play is a significant contribution to the body of Eva Gore-Booth's literary work. "Fiametta" contrasts with Gore-Booth's other dramas and therefore, adds a new perspective to critical analysis of her work.
