This book is about a brilliant, trailblazing and downright glamorous journalist who went on to achieve national treasure status as Britain's favourite agony aunt. It is a collection of her very best letters (and you thought you had problems!). It includes over three decades worth of Marje's finest advice documented with classic photographs taken from the "Daily Mirror"'s archive. More than a simple trip down memory lane, this prescient and touching anthology demonstrates how one woman's remarkable humility and insight helped solve a nation's ills. From the humorous to the heartbreaking, we see how Marje's direct and tolerant approach to all problems and people secured her place in the public's heart - and can still be learned from today.

Sally and Geraint Humphreys are freelance writers living and working in London. A brother a sister duo, their recent credits include ghost writing and editing sections of Ronnie Wood's best-selling autobiography Ronnie; writing the Style, Entertainment and Music sections for June Sarpong's Politics and the City website; and adapting Terry Nations 'Rebecca's World' for audio. Following on from 'The Nation's Favourite Agony Aunt: Marje Proops', the pair have started work on their second book for Haynes publishing, 'All You Need Is Love'.

Marge Proops is probably one of the best known 'agony aunts' of all time Fascinating insight into how problems were seen in the past and how advice has changed Fully illustrated with photographs of one of the best known faces in the country
