Offers a varied and wide range of photographic subjects on Iran. This title offers introductions to regions and cities and extended captions providing context.
Mark Edward Harris has traveled Iran and produced the only contemporary photographic book on the country. Fitting in to his interest in traveling and photographing people and areas remote to general understanding, the book is a sort of companion piece in the "Axis of Evil" series, to his "Inside North Korea". The two books will have the same trimsize and pricepoint. "Inside Iran" is likely to be a signature longer and will be able to offer a wonderfully varied and wider range of photographic subjects and portraits than the more strictly government-limited North Korea project. Text will again inform the photographs with introductions to regions and cities and extended captions providing context. Text will be offered in a factual rather than opinionated or partisan tone.

Mark Edward Harris has travelled and photographed in seventy countries. His editorial work has appeared in Vogue, Elle, Harper's Bazaar, Playboy, Marie Claire, People, The Times, Black and White, Outdoor Photographer, etc. He is in the position of being very well connected to the photography world's key editors and writers, and the great photographers themselves.
