Photographer Sigurgeir Sigurjonsson (b. 1948) is well-known for his books of photography. Landscapes (1992). Iceland - The Warm Country of the North (1994) and Amazing Iceland (1998). He studied photography in Reykjavik, Stockholm and San Diego, California. He works in Reykjavik on advertising photography and various other projects. Geophysicist Ari Trausti Gu[UNK]mundsson (b. 1948) studied at the universities in Reykjavik and Oslo. He is well - known for his tv work, books and articles on the geology of Iceland and on environmental issues, such as Volcanoes of Iceland (1996) and Vatnajokull, frost og funi (1996)
