Nigel Henbest is a leading science populariser and writer specialising in astronomy and space. He has been a consultant to both the Royal Greenwich Observatory and New Scientist magazine. Nigel is now based in the USA and is a future astronaut with Virgin Galactic. Asteroid 3795 has been named 'Nigel' in his honour.
