Alchemie als Grundlage für Kunst

Die künstlerische Arbeit von Per Svensson (geb. 1965 in Göteborg, Schweden; lebt und arbeitet ebenda) ist eine freie Form der Forschung, die verschiedene Methoden, Techniken und Medien miteinbezieht. Für seine Praxis, die Skulptur, Film, Zeichnung, Klang, Architektur und Musik umfasst, öffnet er sich auch spirituellen Disziplinen der Wissensaneignung. In seinen Installationen untersucht Svensson die Art und Weise, wie die Natur organische, asymmetrische und geometrische Strukturen schafft und setzt diese Erkenntnisse in visuelle und klangliche Kompositionen aus verschiedenen Materialien wie Holz, Metall, Aquarellfarbe und Klang um.

Die Monografie SCULPTURAL ALCHEMY erscheint im Zuge der gleichnamigen Ausstellung im Künstlerhaus Bethanien. Mit einem Vorwort von Christoph Tannert und Texten von Heike Fuhlbrügge, Pontus Hammare n, Wilma Lukatsch, Carola Uehlken und Rainer Unruh.

Art Grounded in Alchemy

Per Svensson's (b. Gothenburg, Sweden, 1965; lives and works in Gothenburg) art is a freewheeling form of research that integrates a range of methods, techniques, and media. For his practice, which encompasses sculpture, film, drawing, sound, architecture, and music, he also delves into spiritual disciplines of learning. In his installations, Svensson investigates nature's ways in creating organic, asymmetrical, and geometric structures, translating his insights into visual and acoustic compositions involving diverse materials such as wood, metal, watercolors, and sounds.

The monograph SCULPTURAL ALCHEMY is released in conjunction with the exhibition of the same title at Künstlerhaus Bethanien, Berlin. With a foreword by Christoph Tannert and writings by Heike Fuhlbrügge, Pontus Hammare n, Wilma Lukatsch, Carola Uehlken, and Rainer Unruh.
