Over the past 30 years, Phil Sheldon has produced some of the most compelling photographs in sport. He has photographed all the modern legends, including Jack Nicklaus, Seve Ballesteros, Bernhard Langer, Ernie Els and Tiger Woods. The book is divided into key themes that are explored through the photographs and the informative narrative. Themes include the major tournaments such a The Open and The Masters, and the Ryder Cup, as well as key players and the impact they have had on the game. There are also sections on the fashions and innovative golf courses from around the world. Golf Days is an international celebration of the past 30 years of golf.

Phil Sheldon is a veteran photographer for various golfing magazines and national UK newspapers including The Sunday Telegraph and The Sunday Times. During his illustrious career, spanning over three decades he has covered all the major tournaments and tours including 24 US Masters, 21 US Opens, 25 Open Championships and 18 US PGA's along with 11 Ryder cups. He has also photographed over 300 courses and has been voted by Sports England, The Specialist Sports Photographer of the Year, an unprecedented three times.

Foreword (by famous golfer, tbc); Introduction; 1 The Open; The biggest golf tournament in the world. The oldest of the Major championships. It has a style all of its own. 2 The Masters; The Masters, the most important US tournament, with its lush green manicured grass and the equally manicured gallery to the green motif that extends from the grass to the drinking cups and even the sandwiches. 3: The Ryder Cup; The past 30 years of the Ryder Cup are chronicled, tracing it from a virtual 'non-event' to its current sell-out status. Phil's photographs capture the tension and rivalry of the tournament. 4: The Tiger; The biggest change in the game in the last 30 years. More like a pop star than a top sportsman. Phil has captured the entourage, security, media interest and the hype that surrounds Tiger Woods. He has made golf a massive, global spectator sport. 5: The Europeans; Traces the rise and rise of European golf. Since 1976 a generation of golfers have hit the scene: Seve, Faldo, Woosnam, Langer, Lyle. They took on the best in the world and they won many Major titles between them. They were responsible for popularising the sport in Europe. Through their success golf became a major TV sport. 6: The Courses; Built in some of the most spectacular places on earth, from paddy fields in China to deserts in Arizona, and the fabulous Lost City course in South Africa, which comes with it's own crocodiles. 7: The Women; The rise in profile of the women's game in both the United States and Europe, and certain key personalities such as Laura Davies, who are even competing in the men's game. 8: The Gallery; The avid fans who turn up to watch golf tournaments around the world. 9: The Greats; The truly iconic figures in the game of golf. 10: Mulligans; From the vibrant clothing of the 'brightest' dressers such as Payne Stewart, Phil Sheldon's photographs show the outrageous side of golf. Plus an understanding of all the issues about general etiquette, on course behaviour, and the rules minefield. Index
