CityLove is an original book of photographs and text featuring a mix of eclectic local imagery and pictures in categories ranging from restaurants to shopping to nature walks, captured across the landscape of Manhattan, exploring a year in the heart of New York City through the lens of a downtown New Yorker and former Conde Nast editor and business columnist/reporter. Khia Mercer's unique artistic vision of all aspects of the world’s “greatest city” is organized in sections that are sure to captivate the photography-lover and tourist alike, taking the reader from downtown to uptown and every place in-between with a unique perspective. From blustery winter snow storms to the hustle of New York Fashion Week, to happenings on the High Line and beyond, the book is an ode to the fast-paced mecca of culture and style for those seeking artistic and unique exploration of the city along with those who may be visitors and want an exhaustive but distinctive experience in moving about the city. Capturing a mix of iconic landmarks and fresh-takes on Manhattan’s eclectic neighborhoods, the book provides an insider’s peek into the ever-changing chameleon, New York City, one of the most beloved destinations on earth.
A world traveler and native of Perth, Australia, Khia Mercer now considers herself a New Yorker having lived in the city for the past ten years working as a Conde Nast editor and business columnist/reporter. She has previous lived in London, Montreal, and Sydney during prior stints in public relations, law and fashion, and is currently the founder and designer of the bespoke millinery label KHIA TULLAE, which debuted at Coterie during NYC Fashion Week in February, 2020. Additionally, she manages the New York-based platform, The Sojourn, which features the latest in runway, fashion, style, and travel. Her Instagram feed is @thenylonproject.
