A breathtaking selection of photographs showcasing the beautiful county of Wiltshire from a bird's eye view.
Wiltshire is a beautiful county and it can often look more beautiful from the air, from that special bird's-eye view. Fortunately, with today's technology, that special view has become easier to attain. Drones have opened up the world, shown us places that normal ground-based cameras are not able to reach, and being able to place a camera anywhere in three-dimensional space gives a photographer almost unlimited opportunities to capture new and unique perspectives on the world.

Aerial photographer Simon Knight has used his drones to show his home county of Wiltshire from the air. From its iconic landmarks to its farmland and towns, the drones-eye views on these pages show the beauty of a special part of South West England.

Simon Knight is a qualified commercial drone operator, instructor and examiner who has always had had a passion for photography and model flying. With the advent of ever more sophisticated drone technology, 2016 seemed like the perfect time to start a Wiltshire based aerial photography business. Fortunately, this coincided perfectly with the demolition of Westbury Cement Works; which proved to be a challenging, but very interesting first project to start a business on.
