Mario Jahnke bekam Schlagzeugunterricht im Alter von 11 Jahren und entdeckte seine Hingabe zum Instrument.Aufgrund seiner außerordentlichen Fähigkeiten war es ihm schon mit 18 Jahren möglich, seine Passion zum Beruf zu machen. Immer auf der Suche nach Perfektion folgte ein Studium an der Hochschule für Musik „Franz Liszt“ in Weimar, welches er mit einem Diplom absolvierte.Seinen absoluten Durchbruch hatte er, als er Jennifer Rush bei ihren Tourneen durch alle großen Hallen in Deutsch-land begleitete.Heute ein erfahrener Profi durch seine Tourneen in ganz Europa, TV-Shows, Studioarbeiten mit Künstlern wie dem Rolling Stones Saxophonisten Dick-Heckstall Smith, Thomas Anders, Piero Mazzocchetti und Sessions mit Santana, David Bowie u.v.a.Jahnke versteht es auf einzigartige Weise, seine Erfahrungen an Schlagzeuger jeden Alters weiterzugeben wie z.B. auf Musikmessen und Drum-Events.Seine 19-jährige Erfahrung als Drumteacher flossen in dieses Lehrwerk ein. After publishing my successful books “Drumbook for Beginners” and “The Essential Drumbook”, the present book “Pimp your Groove” (vol. 3) is all about the musical, technical and virtuoso finesse (e.g. accentuation, ghost notes, dynamics, phrasing & feeling) that is needed to make a groove and particularly your groove sound unique and magic.It furthermore introduces my newly developed revolutionary four- (five-) way concept of groove as the main task of a drummer is and will always be the groove – in spite of the inevitable soloistic ability and regardless of the musical style.All exercises have been tested successfully and make a lot of fun.
