It is also the domain of the desert elephant, a near-mythical creature that has adapted to a virtually waterless environment, and the legendary desert lion, once thought to be extinct. Life in this mysterious landscape is gruelling: only the tenacious and inventive are able to adapt to the extreme conditions and have a chance at survival.
