She also holds an MBA in Healthcare Finance and a Master of Laws, and has authored over 200 scientific papers. She has received numerous national awards, including the OBE during Queen Elizabeth II's 2022 Platinum Jubilee, National Clinical Excellence awards, Diabetes UK Arnold Bloom Award 2023, NHS Parliamentary Award 2020, University of Liverpool Alumni Award 2019, and Diabetes UK Mary Mackinnon Award 2018. Her books include 'A Journey with Brendan,' 'Me and my Hormones,' and 'A Guide to Type 1 Diabetes Management, Technology, and Everything Else You Need to Know.'
