Meet The Wanderdays in their first thrilling adventure, perfect for 9+ readers. Packed with bravery, friendship, dastardly villains, and an edge-of-your seat underwater quest.
Nellie Wanderday, one of the greatest explorers the world has ever known, has gone missing on her latest expedition. When a mysterious stranger appears, Flo and Joseph Wanderday don't expect to discover sinister secrets about the real reason for their mother's trip.
Realising that this was no ordinary expedition, and that supposed Earth-Hero, Sir Frederick Titan, is not all he claims to be, Flo and Joseph must team up with investigative journalist Marianne de la Mer and their friends Funmi and Isaac.
It's time for them to set out on their own quest across the ocean to save their mother, expose Titan's crimes against nature and bring down the Titan empire once and for all.
Praise for Clare Povey:
"A delightful literary mystery with a dastardly villain to boot! Perfect for fans of Peter Bunzl and Katherine Rundell." Christopher Edge, author of Escape Room
"A charming and bookish tale of friendship, villainy and the power of stories." Thomas Taylor, author of Malamander
"Plenty of tension and suspense alongside wonderful friendships." L.D. Lapinski, author of The Strangeworlds Travel Agency trilogy

Clare Povey is an author, avid language learner and the proud owner of four Blue Peter badges. She wanted to be a marine biologist when she was younger but found science difficult and so decided to create stories about the wonders of the natural world instead. Her first novel for younger readers The Unexpected Tale of Bastien Bonlivre was a Waterstones Children's Book of the Month and was inspired by her time studying French at university and living in Lille. She has dealt with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) her entire life and now writes stories about characters who have adventures and are forever curious about the world, despite their intrusive thoughts.
