Kate Peridot is an author of both fiction and non-fiction children’s stories who lives with her family in the south of France. In 2014, her children’s story The Elephant Carniva, won a Walker Books Animal Stories competition for 4-7-year-olds. In 2015 she won the Winchester Festival, First Pages of a Novel award for a YA concept. Her debut non-fiction, Caring Conservationists, published in 2023. Her other books include What do bees do in winter? Dawn Cooper is an illustrator based in a leafy suburb of Bristol, UK.
