Melissa Stewart (Author) Melissa Stewart lives in eastern Massachusetts, USA, and is an award-winning author of more than 190 science books for children. Melissa, a Sibert Medal Honoree, has always been fascinated by the natural world and is passionate about sharing its wonder with readers of all ages. While researching for Mega-Predators of the Past, she visited museums in the western United States, Canada and Europe, and interviewed scientists from around the world. Howard Gray (Illustrator) Howard Gray loved to draw when he was growing up, and was always captivated by animals and nature. He pursued art throughout school but went on to study zoology at university, eventually completing a PhD on dolphins! Now, Howard has returned to his dream career of becoming an illustrator and has worked on many fiction and non-fiction projects. These days, he lives with his family in the picturesque city of Durham, UK.
