Kerry Hyndman is an illustrator who loves making pictures that spark a sense of wonder in the natural world. She works on a variety of publishing, editorial and advertising projects and has a growing number of non-fiction children's books under her belt. She's also the proud owner of a Blue Peter book award (and badge!). Mike Hills is a writer and journalist who likes to deliver the facts, but have some fun along the way. He has worked for The Times and is currently at the BBC as a news journalist but increasingly enjoys stepping into the more cheerful world of children's books. He hasn't won any awards (or badges) yet, but he'd like to one day. The couple live on the west coast of Scotland with their daughter. They like exploring islands, lochs and mountains, finding fairy bridges and waterfalls, falling off paddle boards, swimming with seals and trying to hide from midges.
