Sam Smith (Author) Sam grew up in Buckinghamshire, falling off various bicycles before reading books and making up his own stories about more competent heroes. After studying English at Cambridge University, he joined Usborne in 2013, and now writes titles ranging from fold-out solar systems to maze books full of swashbuckling pirates. Sometimes, Sam cycles to work. Phillip Clarke (Author) Phil Clarke grew up in the Cotswolds, and joined Usborne in 1999. He's written far more than he can rightly recall about such things as trees, stars, rocks, sharks, unicorns and dinosaurs, and crafted many puzzles. He lives with his family in the Midlands, and spends his spare minutes sleeping.
