Catherine Barr specialises in bringing science and nature to young readers in exciting ways, and she is the author of many books on the natural world. Catherine worked with Greenpeace and London's Natural History Museum before becoming a full-time writer. Her bestselling book, The Story of Life, explaining the principle of evolution, has sold in over 14 languages. Her previous books for Otter-Barry Books are Red Alert! 15 Endangered Animals Fighting to Survive (2018), illustrated by Anne Wilson and Water: Protect Freshwater to Save Life on Earth (2022), illustrated by Christiane Engel. Catherine visits schools and festivals around the UK with interactive events inspired by her books. She lives in Herefordshire. Anne Wilson has an MA in illustration from Central St Martins College of Art, London and has been practising as an illustrator for over 15 years. Much of her work is inspired by everyday life: pattern, colour and shape, She incorporates figurative elements, layers and textures, with mixed media, printmaking and computer techniques. She is the illustrator of Catherine Barr's Red Alert. Anne lives in Berkshire.
