The Biggest Thing of All is a beautiful, inspiring story about finding hope after the loss of a loved one. Lily loves helping in Grandma’s beautiful garden. She and Grandpa help make sure everything’s growing strong. One day, Grandpa lets her in on a secret: pointing to an ant, he says, everything is a part of something bigger. One ant is part of a colony. One rain drop becomes part of the ocean. When Lily’s Grandma suddenly passes away, Lily struggles to deal with and understand her grief. She comes to realize that they are all part of something bigger—a Family—and that LOVE is the biggest thing of all. This poignant story reminds us that special people are always with us in the form of the love they leave behind.
Kathryn Thurman is a writer and fine artist. Her first picture book A Garden for Pig was featured on Smithsonian’s website as one of the top ten children’s books about food. When she’s not writing or painting, she’s growing all kinds of vegetables and hanging out with her family and their pug, who wears wheels. Romina Galotta graduated in Graphic Design from the University of Buenos Aires. Her artistic inclinations led her to become a fruitful scenery and set designer for local theatre companies. She works both with traditional and digital mediums, is an ardent animal lover, a passionate foodie, and is happy to have family and friends scattered across the globe — the perfect excuse to fulfil her forever travelling dreams.
