Mary gave birth to a baby. She rocks it to and fro. Joseph gives it little kisses. They love the baby so. A first introduction to the Christmas story. In rhythmical verses and unique illustrations. For everyone aged 3 and up.
"This is a pleasant additional purchase for those who want a version light on religious mysticism but with a happy message of "love, and peace, and light." - School Library Journal

"This sprightly Nativity story is energized by Leever’s diorama-style illustrations, an inventive blend of collage and three-dimensional cut-paper figures, objects, and settings. Van Hooft’s simple language and sturdy rhymes sustain a tender, comforting mood and Leever’s smiling cast of humans and animals extends the joyful tone." - Publishers Weekly

"The book’s charming art uses rhyming verse and innovative paper-collage illustrations to present the narrative of the birth of Jesus." - Kirkus Reviews
