Secret Achievements

Amongst the multitude of achievements for Hitman: Blood Money are six secret achievements that remain hidden to players until they've completed them. Here's how to get it done.

47 Kills

The first of these achievements is known as "47 Kills". In order to get this, you must successfully complete a level having killed 47 people. A good way to get around this is to kill around 40 people, save before you exit the level, and then reload afterwards, having checked your debriefing stats to see how many more people you need to kill! This achievement is worth 20 points.

Accidents Do Happen

The next of the secret achievements is called "Accidents Do Happen", and is also worth 20 points. To earn it, you must successfully stage an accident during a level, which basically means eliminating one of your mission targets in an involuntary manner, such as pushing them over the edge of a balcony.

Special Rating

The third secret achievement, once again earning you 20 points is called "Special Rating". Rather unsurprisingly, it requires you to finish a level having earned a special rating. A great place to get one of these is the level called "A New Life". On this level, you can earn the "Insane Florist" rating if you kill everyone except the dog using hedge-cutting shears, which can be stolen from a woman near the start of the level.

Alternatively, if you can kill around 20 or more FBI Agents using the zoom of the sniper rifle on the level called "A New Life", you'll receive a rating called "The Russian Hare", which will earn you the achievement.

High Roller

Continuing on, we have the secret achievement called "High Roller", which earns you 50 points. To earn this, you must collect up to $5,000,000 in cash during a single game. If you want to get this achievement, don't spend any cash until after you've earned the 5mill, unless you absolutely have to.

Notorious

The fifth secret achievement is called "Notorious", and is also worth 50 points. For this one, you must be playing on Normal difficulty or higher, and you need to attain a Notoriety level of 100/100. You can do this by basically killing everyone who gets in your way, and making sure that you don't spend your money on lowering the notoriety level.

Redemption

Finally, there's the secret achievement called "Redemption", which again is worth 50 points. To earn this, you must complete the secret mission known as Requiem, which is unlocked by quickly moving the left analog stick while the end credits roll to rise from the dead. Kill all the people at the funeral, and then you'll complete the game properly and earn this achievement.

The following codes should be entered in the DNA Lab to unlock a challenge. If you can then complete the challenge, you'll unlock the corresponding car.

Codes

The following codes should be entered on the Cheats screen, which you can find by going to the Extras screen from the main menu.

In order to get a 4x Damage Multiplier, all you need to do is enter the following code:

Up, Down, Up, Right, Left

After that code has been entered correctly, you'll be able to dish out four times as much damage.

To unlock All Multiplayer Characters, you simply have to enter this code:

Left, Down, Left, Right, Down

When that code has been entered correctly, you should then be able to access all of the multiplayer characters straight away.

And finally, for Invincibility, just enter this code on the cheats screen:

Down, Down, Right, Up, Left

Following the correct entry of that code, you will be blessed with invincibility!

The following items are unlocked after attaining a certain amount of total points in single-player mode.

Left 4 Dead

Hints and Tips

So, you're headed into the big bad world of Left 4 Dead. Congratulations. But let me warn you, there's zombies out there (no, really), and if you head out without a plan, it could be the end of you. These tips should give you a few pointers when it comes to staying alive.

- Perhaps the most important tip, whether on or offline is to never try to go it alone. No matter how well you think you know a level, going gung-ho for the safety room is not a good idea. Seeing as special infected could come from anywhere, you could get caught by a horde with no-one to save you and likewise, your team-mates could wind up taking a beating that you could have saved them from. As Shaun once told us, there's no I in team, but there is an I in meat pie.

- It's also a good idea, especially if you're new to the game, to switch the Captions to Full within the options menu. With this on, you'll get information on-screen that gives you fore-warning of special infected, tanks and witches in the near area. Once you get used to the audio cues the game gives you of these, it's not quite as necessary, but they can still be helpful when you're online and the in-game audio is drowned out by the screams coming through your head-set!

- If there are cars in the area, try to curb your shooting. As it's explained to you, those with flashing red lights in them have alarms primed, which will alert the horde if you shoot them. It's not always easy to see these lights in the heat of the action though, so if you're able to restrict your fire somewhat, do so. Again, having full captions on can help you here too.

- Don't underestimate the importance of Pipe-Bombs. Sure, you don't get the whole fire, flames and carnage of a Molotov, but they're actually quite useful for getting out of tight spots. Throwing a pipe bomb should cause the curious infected to gather around it, excited by the blinking lights. This will give you a chance to pick a few off or move onwards. These can be especially useful towards the end of finales, especially to fend off the masses that surround you when the rescue vehicle arrives.
