This book offers a rich selection of engaging non-fiction, grouped into five themes: Incredible Animals, Fascinating Places, Remarkable People, Exciting Activities, and Amazing Science. One hundred individual readers, are graded into eight levels - from Pre-Intermediate to Advanced - and ranging from 800 to 3,000 headwords. It includes carefully-controlled grammar syllabus that covers the most typically taught structures in course books. It contains an Audio programme containing the full text of each reader. It includes Teacher support materials, including Teacher's Manuals and ExamView[registered] Pro Assessment CD-ROM. The Teacher's Book available for every level, includes: a step-by-step lesson planner for each title; photocopiable worksheets that provide complete teaching instructions, answer keys, a grammar presentation, and additional research and communicative activities; and, photocopiable quizzes. An ExamView[registered] Pro CD-ROM is also available for every level.

Dr. Rob Waring is an Associate Professor at Notre Dame Seishin Women's University in Okayama, Japan. His research interests extend to reading and the acquisition of vocabulary. He is a founding member of the Extensive Reading Foundation and a well-known expert on Extensive Reading. He has published many articles on Extensive Reading and is program advisor to many educational institutions throughout Asia. He maintains an Extensive Reading website, and is owner and moderator of the Extensive Reading discussion list. He was co-conference chair of JALT 2005 in Shizuoka, Japan.
