While Ireland's health-care spend is lower than the EU average, it's life expectancy is among the lowest in Europe and rates of obesity, cancers and mental illness are on the rise. This title provides a critique of the Irisah health care system. It talks about the debate on bed capacity and the A&E crisis, health spending, primary care and more.
While Ireland's health-care spend is lower than the EU average, it's life expectancy is among the lowest in Europe and rates of obesity, cancers and mental illness are on the rise. "How Ireland Cares: the Case for Health Care Reform" provides a thoroughly-researched and critique of the Irisah health care system today. The authors reignite the debate on bed capacity and the A&E crisis, health spending, primary care and outline a comprehensive agenda for health care reform. With input from over 100 people from all aspects of healthcare in Ireland today, including physicians, health service and hospital administrators, politicians and academics, this is a work of great importance borne out of extensive research and passion for the subject - a book that deserves to be read by all who care - and a guideline for those working in the National Health Service.
