'I Love (My) Space' is a short topical memoir of my life journey from India to the USA. At the age of seven I was inspire by the Man-on-the-Moon program, which culminated in 1969 with the first lunar landing. That event led me to a career in engineering. This book describes the events that influenced my decision to become and electronics engineer and move to USA. Over the years, my fascination with space exploration deepened, and I consider myself fortunate to live in an era marked by significant advancements in this field. The book describes several pivotal moments when I was able to see the Space Shuttle and experience a live rocket launches at Cape Canaveral. The book touches on the phenomenon of talented individuals, of my generation, migrating from India to seek opportunities abroad, often referred to as 'brain drain.' However, as we assimilated into American society and appreciated the opportunities afforded to us, a shift in perspective towards viewing talent migration as part of a broader global competition for skilled workers emerged, leading to the concept of 'The world is flat,' encapsulating and redefining the traditional notions of brain drain and talent migration. Driver by technology I have seen space exploration as the pinnacle of our ability to achieve great things. And as a spiritual seeker, I have turned to the space within our mind that shapes our consciousness. Finding some connection, has led me to understand the great responsibility we have to take care of our planet. We have the technology and need the scale of consciousness to manifest the change required to protect our home planet.
