Brill's Companion to Crantor of Soli

Christian Vassallo (Ph.D., Naples) has been Fulbright Distinguished Professor of Ancient Philosophy at the University of Notre Dame (IN, USA) and is currently Full Professor of Papyrology at the University of Turin, where he is Principal Investigator of the ERC-Consolidator Grant 101086695-APATHES (a.k.a. ‘The New von Arnim Project’). Pia De Simone (Ph.D., Salerno), has been, in collaboration with Benedikt Strobel and Christian Vassallo, Principal Investigator of the DFG-Projekt Krantor von Soloi: Der letzte der Altakademiker at Trier University. She is currently Research Fellow in Ancient Philosophy at the Catholic University of Milan. Her research interests focus on Plato and the Platonic Tradition, particularly the Old Academy and Middle Platonism. Kilian Fleischer (Ph.D. and habilitation in Classics, Würzburg), conducted research at Oxford, Naples, Pisa, and Notre Dame (IN, USA). He has published four monographs (2016, 2020, 2022, 2023) with a focus on Hellenistic philosophy, ancient Christianity, didactic poetry, Herculaneum papyri, and imaging techniques.
