This anthology of Shelley's work includes his long mythical poem "Queen Mab", his political allegory "The Revolt of Islan" and the autobiographical "Epipsychidion". It also includes a biographical narrative placing each poem in context and illuminating its significance.
Rebel, exile and radical, Shelley was the quintessential romantic whose poetry expresses both drama and fantasy. This anthology demonstrates his breadth of style and subject covering as it does his classical works, his long mythical poem 'Queen Mab', his political allegory 'The Revolt of Islan' and the autobiographical 'Epipsychidion'. Also included are some of Shelley's great lyrical poems, including 'Ode to the West Wind' and 'To a Skylark'.

Percy Bysshe Shelley was born in 1792. He went up to University College, Oxford but was expelled for writing THE NECESSITY OF ATHEISM. In 1818 Shelley moved to Italy where he produced some of his most extraordinary and varied poetry including 'Ode to the West Wind'. Shelley was drowned in 1822 at the age of 30.
