Roland J. Thorpe, Jr., PhD, is an associate professor in the Department of Health, Behavior, and Society at Johns Hopkins, founding director of the university's program for research on men's health, and deputy director of the Hopkins Center for Health Disparities Solutions. Jessica A. Kelley, PhD, is professor and director of the graduate program, Department of Sociology, Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio. Linda M. Chatters, PhD, FGSA, FAASWSW, is a professor in the Department of Health Behavior and Health Education, School of Public Health and professor in the School of Social Work at the University of Michigan. She is a faculty associate with the Program for Research on Black Americans at the Institute for Social Research and the Center for Research on Ethnicity, Culture and Health.
