Der 53. Band der interdisziplinären Zeitschrift enthält acht Aufsätze. Darauf folgen die Jahresberichte 2020 zur Arbeit des Berliner Museums für Vor- und Frühgeschichte, zu Zahlen, Daten und Fakten des Museumsjahrs, zum Deutschen Verband für Archäologie e.V. [DVA], zur Arbeit der Kommission zur Erforschung von Sammlungen archäologischer Funde und Unterlagen aus dem nordöstlichen Mitteleuropa [KAFU] sowie zum Forschungsprojekt des Museums zu “Forschungskontinutität und Kontinuitätsforschung - Siedlungsarchäologische Grundlagenforschung zur Eisenzeit im Baltikum”.
The 53rd volume of the interdisciplinary journal contains eight papers dealing with the Early Mesolithic stag skull mask from Berlin-Biesdorf, the BA VI hoard of Golovenskoje/Willkühnen in East Prussia, excavations by Hubert Schmidt [1864-1933] on two tell settlements at Anau, Turkmenistan, Late Antique to Early Islamic Egyptian textiles in the Museum of Pre- and Protohistory, an Early Medieval jackknife from Pasym/Passenheim in Masuria, miniature horse figures of metal, wood or bark amongst the Early Medieval Slavs, Helmuth von Moltke in the Troad in A.D. 1837/8, and the “Project Petriplatz”, a house of archaeology for Berlin. This is followed by the annual reports 2020 on the work of the Museum of Pre- and Protohistory in Berlin, on figures, dates, and facts of the year in the museum, on the work of the German Association of Archaeology [DVA], and the Commission for the Investigation of Collections of Archaeological Finds and Documents in North-Eastern Central Europe [KAFU], and by a report on the museum’s research project on “Continuity of research and research on continuity - basic investigations on settlement archaeology in the Iron Age Baltic”.
