A Mayan Calendar for dates and events?

In addition to the preserved inscriptions of the Mayas on monuments and stelae, written testimonies exist, the so-called codices of Madrid, Dresden, Paris and México. Of the 4 preserved codices, the Dresden codex is certainly the most important. Many experts have assumed this for a long time, now it can be shown: the Maya "event" calendar did actually exist and can be found in the Codex Dresdensis on pages 58 and 59. This paper tries to explain step by step how to decipher the calendar and how to use it.
