Arianna Maiorani is Reader in Linguistics and Multimodality in the School of Social Sciences and Humanities at Loughborough University, UK. An expert in the investigation of the fantastic in both literature and film, her areas of research specialism are translation studies, media studies, gender studies, and cultural studies. Her most recent book is Spazi del femminile nelle letterature e culture di lingua inglese fra Settecento e Ottocento [Feminine Spaces in English Literature and Culture between the Eighteenth and Nineteenth Centuries] (2020).
